How to Do Gel Removal
What It Is: Gel removal refers to the process of safely removing gel polish from the nails. Improper removal can damage the natural nails, so it’s essential to do this correctly.
Steps for Removal:
File the Top Layer: Lightly file the shiny top coat to break the seal.
Soak in Acetone: Cotton balls soaked in acetone are placed on the nails, and each finger is wrapped in foil to keep the acetone in contact with the gel.
Wait: Leave for 10–15 minutes to soften the gel polish.
Gently Remove: Use an orange stick or cuticle pusher to gently scrape off the softened gel.
Buff and Moisturize: Buff the nails and apply cuticle oil to restore hydration.
